Baltic windows are constructed using the latest technology available from Plastmo. The highest quality materials are in keeping with our exceptionally high standards. All vinyl frames and sashes are extruded using 100% virgin PVC powder coupled with lead-free additives. The result is the most durable and dependable PVC formulation.

Our window extrusions are heaviest in the industry. All of the external walls are guaranteed to be a minimum of 2mm in thickness. The minimum use of two walls increases the strength of all hardware connections. All extrusions are made into a multi chamber design with separate drainage cavities, employing our unique hidden drainage system. Not only our casement windows but all other windows use triple seal systems, delivering exceptional air and water ratings.

It takes three preconditions for a window or any building envelope to leak: water on the outside surface, a path or crack that allows water penetration, and a force to drive the water through the crack. If all conditions are present, the window can leak. If any one condition is removed, the window will not leak. Being that the first two conditions are hard to avoid, Baltic’s window systems are designed to eliminate the third condition of force. This is done by the use of the rain-screen principle. Designated cavities within the window unit are pressure equalized with the outside. This way, even with wind driven rain, there is no pressure difference and no force to drive water past the outer seal.
